Slovenia Visa Guide for Pakistani Citizens

✈️ 1. Visit Visa (Type C – Short Stay)

Purpose:

  • Tourism or visiting friends/family (up to 90 days)

Required Documents:

  • Schengen visa application form
  • Valid passport (3 months validity after return)
  • Two recent passport-size photos
  • Travel itinerary (flight bookings)
  • Hotel booking OR invitation letter from host in Slovenia (must be notarized and approved by Slovenian authority)
  • Cover letter explaining travel purpose
  • Bank statement (last 6 months)
  • Proof of employment (salary slip or business NTN/SECP)
  • Travel insurance (coverage of €30,000)
  • FRC (if visiting relatives)
  • Visa Fee: €80 + VFS fee

📌 Invitations must be authenticated by Slovenian authorities (UEC).


💼 2. Business Visa (Type C – Short Stay)

Purpose:

  • Business meetings, fairs, or training programs

Additional Documents:

  • Invitation letter from company in Slovenia
  • Cover letter from Pakistani company
  • Proof of business registration (SECP, NTN)
  • Chamber of Commerce certificate
  • 6-month business bank statement
  • Hotel and flight booking
  • All standard Visit Visa documents

📌 Slovenian company invitation should be notarized and registered if possible.


🏠 3. Family Reunion Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Join a spouse, parent, or child living legally in Slovenia

Steps:

  1. Sponsor applies for residence permit through the Administrative Unit (Upravna enota) in Slovenia
  2. After approval, applicant applies for Type D visa through VFS

Documents Required:

  • Residence permit approval letter
  • Type D visa form
  • Marriage/birth certificate (translated into Slovene + legalized by MOFA)
  • FRC (NADRA)
  • Sponsor’s residence card/Slovenian ID
  • Proof of income and accommodation
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Valid passport
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa Fee: €77–100

📌 Must apply for residence card upon arrival in Slovenia.


🎓 4. Student Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Higher education at a Slovenian university

Steps:

  1. Apply to a Slovenian institution and get admission
  2. Apply for residence permit via university or directly to Slovenian Immigration
  3. Apply for Type D student visa from Pakistan

Documents Required:

  • Acceptance letter from Slovenian university
  • Proof of tuition payment
  • Proof of financial support (around €5,000–€6,000)
  • Bank statement or sponsor letter
  • Accommodation proof
  • Educational documents (HEC attested + translated)
  • Police and medical clearance
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa Fee: ~€100

📌 Residence permit must be applied for again once in Slovenia.


👷 5. Work Permit Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Employment with a Slovenian employer

Steps:

  1. Slovenian employer applies for your work and residence permit with the Slovenian Employment Office + Immigration Office
  2. After approval, apply for Type D visa at VFS in Pakistan

Documents Required:

  • Work and residence permit approval letter
  • Valid job contract
  • Educational certificates (attested + translated into Slovene)
  • Experience letters
  • CV and application form
  • Police and medical certificates
  • Proof of accommodation in Slovenia
  • Valid passport
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa Fee: ~€100

✅ Important Tips:
