Slovakia Visa Guide for Pakistani Citizens

✈️ 1. Visit Visa (Type C – Schengen Short Stay)

Purpose:

  • Tourism or visiting family/friends (up to 90 days)

Documents Required:

  • Schengen visa application form
  • Valid passport (3+ months beyond return)
  • Two biometric passport-sized photos
  • Travel itinerary (flight reservations)
  • Hotel reservation or invitation letter from host in Slovakia (authenticated by Slovak authorities)
  • Proof of relationship (if visiting family)
  • Travel insurance (€30,000 minimum)
  • 6-month bank statement
  • Proof of job/income (employment letter or business documents)
  • Cover letter stating visit purpose
  • CNIC copy + FRC (if applicable)
  • Visa Fee: €80 + VFS service fee

💼 2. Business Visa (Type C – Schengen Short Stay)

Purpose:

  • Business meetings, exhibitions, training, or trade events

Additional Documents:

  • Invitation from Slovak company (with purpose, duration)
  • Business letter from Pakistani company
  • Business documents (SECP/NTN/Chamber Certificate)
  • Company bank statement (6 months)
  • Hotel reservation and flight booking
  • All standard visit documents

📌 Invitations should ideally be verified by Slovak Immigration.


🏠 3. Family Reunion Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Joining spouse, parent, or child legally residing in Slovakia

Steps:

  1. Your sponsor in Slovakia applies for your residence permit at the Foreign Police Department in Slovakia
  2. Once approved, you apply for a Type D Visa through Embassy (via VFS)

Documents Required:

  • Residence permit approval from Slovak Foreign Police
  • Type D visa application form
  • Marriage or birth certificate (translated into Slovak + legalized)
  • FRC (from NADRA)
  • Sponsor’s ID/residence card and employment proof
  • Proof of accommodation in Slovakia
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Passport
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa Fee: ~€100

🎓 4. Student Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Long-term academic study at a Slovak institution

Steps:

  1. Apply for university admission
  2. Get admission & financial proof
  3. Apply for Type D Visa + Residence Permit through Embassy

Documents Required:

  • Admission letter from a Slovak university
  • Educational certificates (HEC-attested + Slovak translation)
  • Proof of funds (approx. €3,000–€4,000)
  • Proof of accommodation in Slovakia
  • Police character certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa Fee: ~€100
  • Passport + application form

📌 Once in Slovakia, apply for a residence permit within 90 days.


👷 5. Work Permit Visa (Type D + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Employment in Slovakia with a valid job contract

Steps:

  1. Employer applies for a job offer approval at the Slovak Labour Office
  2. After approval, you apply for a residence permit (work purpose) and Type D visa

Documents Required:

  • Valid work contract and job offer
  • Approval from Slovak Labour Office
  • Valid passport
  • Educational & experience documents (translated + attested)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Police clearance
  • Medical certificate
