Lithuania Visa Guide for Pakistani Citizens

✈️ 1. Visit Visa (Type C – Schengen Short Stay)

Purpose:

  • Tourism
  • Visiting family/friends
  • Short stay of up to 90 days

Documents Required:

  • Schengen Visa Application form
  • Valid passport (min. 3 months after return)
  • 2 recent passport-size photos
  • Cover letter explaining visit
  • Travel itinerary (round-trip flight reservation)
  • Hotel booking or invitation letter (approved by Lithuanian Migration Dept.)
  • Travel health insurance (min. €30,000 coverage)
  • Proof of sufficient funds (6-month bank statement)
  • Job letter / business documents (NTN/SECP)
  • FRC (if visiting relatives)
  • CNIC & passport copies

💼 2. Business Visa (Type C – Schengen)

Purpose:

  • Business meetings, exhibitions, trade fairs, or negotiations

Additional Documents:

  • Invitation letter from Lithuanian company (with address, purpose, dates)
  • Letter from Pakistani company confirming trip and financial responsibility
  • Proof of business registration (SECP, NTN, Chamber Certificate)
  • Business bank statement (6 months)
  • All general visit visa documents apply

🏠 3. Family Reunion Visa (Type D – National + Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Joining spouse, child, or parent legally residing in Lithuania

Steps:

  1. Sponsor applies for a residence permit for family member to the Lithuanian Migration Office
  2. Once approved, you apply for Type D visa through VFS

Required Documents:

  • Residence permit approval copy
  • Type D visa application form
  • Passport + 2 photos
  • Marriage/Birth certificate (translated to Lithuanian + attested by MOFA)
  • Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
  • Sponsor’s residence card / ID in Lithuania
  • Sponsor’s income and accommodation proof
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Health insurance
  • Visa Fee: €120

🎓 4. Student Visa (Type D + Study Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • University studies or long-term academic programs in Lithuania

Steps:

  1. Get accepted by a Lithuanian university
  2. Apply for residence permit for studies
  3. Apply for Type D visa after permit approval

Documents Required:

  • Admission letter from a Lithuanian university
  • Tuition fee payment receipt
  • Academic transcripts (attested by HEC + translated)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (~€6,000–€8,000 annually)
  • Accommodation confirmation
  • Health insurance (1-year coverage)
  • Medical and police clearance certificates
  • Passport + visa application
  • Visa Fee: €120

📌 Residence permit card is issued after arrival in Lithuania.


👷 5. Work Permit Visa (Type D + Employment Residence Permit)

Purpose:

  • Long-term employment in Lithuania with a registered employer

Steps:

  1. Employer in Lithuania applies for your residence/work permit
  2. Once approved, apply for Type D visa through VFS

Documents Required:

  • Approved job offer + work/residence permit
  • Valid passport
  • Signed employment contract
  • CV + experience certificates (translated + attested)
  • Educational documents (attested by HEC + translated)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Police character certificate
  • Medical certificate
